Introducing the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: One UI 6.0 Beta Update

After pulling the One UI 6.0 beta based on Android 14 a few times, Samsung has finally decided to make an official announcement and release the One UI 6.0 beta program in some regions. This update brings forth a few UI changes and new features. Let’s take a closer look at the details below.

One UI 6.0 Beta Update Starts Rolling Out

The eagerly awaited One UI 6.0 beta update based on Android 14 is now rolling out in Germany, the US, and Korea. This update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, including the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. While there’s no official confirmation on its wider availability, we expect other regions like India and the UK to receive the update in the coming days.

If you are located in one of the currently-eligible regions, you can sign up for the One UI 6.0 beta through the Samsung Members app. Simply click on the banner for the beta program and follow the required steps to enroll. If you haven’t received the update yet, don’t worry, it will be available soon.

One UI 6.0 introduces a new Quick Panel, which features redesigned icons for options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. By default, a mini version of the Quick Panel is displayed, but you can access the full panel by swiping down twice. This update also includes an enhanced layout for notifications, making it easier to control brightness and more.

Changes to Lock Screen and Home Screen

The One UI 6.0 beta update brings changes to both the lock screen and the home screen. There are new emojis available when sharing them across apps, and picture and video previews have been improved for sharing content. Additionally, a new Weather widget offers more detailed information through the Weather app. The Camera app has also received certain design changes. You can also expect to see various Android 14 features integrated into the new update.
