Samsung Galaxy S24: A Sneak Peek at the Next-Generation Smartphone
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series has been making headlines lately, creating a lot of buzz and anticipation among smartphone enthusiasts. Scheduled to be launched early in 2024, the upcoming Galaxy S phones have already started attracting leaks and rumors. The latest leak gives us a glimpse into the design of the standard Galaxy S24, following the previously leaked design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Let’s dive into the details!
This Could Be the Galaxy S24!
Famous tipster OnLeaks has joined hands with Smartprix to unveil the design of the Samsung Galaxy S24. This time, the most noticeable change is the introduction of a flat-edge design as opposed to the rounded corners of its predecessor, the Galaxy S23. While this new design might polarize opinions, it remains to be seen how consumers will respond. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to feature rounded corners, doing away with the flat edges. Additionally, the leaked renders suggest the inclusion of an ultrawideband chip antenna, which could enhance the device’s connectivity capabilities.
The dimensions of the Galaxy S24 are expected to be 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm, making it slightly taller than its predecessor. Apart from this change, the rear of the device will retain its triple-camera setup. Moving to the front, the phone is rumored to feature a punch-hole camera placed at the center of a 6.1-inch display, similar to the Galaxy S23. The initial renders showcase the Galaxy S24 in white, with more color options expected to be available. The Galaxy S24+ is anticipated to have a similar appearance. Take a closer look at the render below.
Now, let’s talk about the specifications. The Galaxy S24 is rumored to feature an LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) display, marking a first for the vanilla model. It might be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with the possibility of an Exynos 2400 variant in select markets. Additionally, the device is expected to have a 4,700mAh battery with 45W fast charging support and will run on Android 14-based One UI 6.0. In terms of photography, the Galaxy S24 could sport a 50MP primary camera, a 10MP telephoto lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10.5MP selfie shooter. Other expected features include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, support for wireless charging, up to 12GB of RAM, and storage options of up to 512GB.
The Galaxy S24 series is rumored to be launched in January 2024, which is quite early compared to the usual launch cycle of the Galaxy S phones. However, as with all rumors, it is advisable to wait for official details to get a more accurate understanding. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
