Distinctive Features & Specifications
These laptops boast varying features and specifications. Most notably, the highly versatile Galaxy Book 360 boasts a touch-screen display and a convertible 360-degree hinge. With the exception of the starting variant, the laptops will feature AMOLED displays. The non-Pro variants of the upcoming Samsung laptops, Galaxy Book 4 and Book 4 360, will not feature the Core Ultra chips. Instead, they will be equipped with the more basic Core 5 120U processors.
Pricing and Availability
At this point, exact pricing details have not been revealed. Estimates suggest that the new devices could be priced similarly to the current variants with 13th Gen CPUs. However, it is also speculated that these devices could carry a higher price tag than their predecessors.
Intel Core Ultra vs Intel Core in 14th Gen
The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is set to feature the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H 14th Gen processor. This flagship Intel 14th Gen processor, a successor to previous Core i9 H series processors like the i9-13900H, is rumored to have a boost clock speed of up to 5.10GHz and a 16-core configuration with 22 threads. While these CPUs have not been officially released yet, it is important to note that these specs could change in the future.
The new 14th-generation processors from Intel boast the Meteor Lake architecture, which comes with several improvements. Under this architecture, high-end CPUs will be distinctively labeled as Core Ultra. It is likely that the basic Core variants will not include the full feature set of Meteor Lake, such as the Arc GPU or NPU Chip. For example, the base variant of the Galaxy Book 4 will come with DDR4 memory instead of DDR5.
Looking Ahead
We will have to wait until Intel’s AI Everywhere event next month to learn more about the distinctions within the Intel 14th Gen lineup.
