OnePlus Pad Go: The Affordable Tablet to Rival Realme and Redmi
Another OnePlus Tablet Coming?
Earlier this year, OnePlus said hello to its first tablet, the OnePlus Pad, which can safely be considered a decent option with a 144Hz display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, and more, all priced under Rs 40,000. And now, the company is planning to launch a slightly more affordable tablet, possibly called the OnePlus Pad Go, to compete with Realme, Oppo, and other brands. The launch seems imminent as OnePlus has started teasing the device in India!
Pad Go Launch Expected Soon
OnePlus recently posted on X (formerly Twitter) about a new device with the tagline “What’s work without a little play!” Though the company hasn’t revealed much, it appears to be a tablet and invites users to take a guess. This upcoming device is highly likely to be the rumored OnePlus Pad Go, which is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000 to directly compete with the Realme Pad 2, Redmi Pad, and other devices in the same price segment.
To further support the impending launch, OnePlus has created a dedicated microsite. However, according to Yogesh Brar (via MySmartPrice), the OnePlus Pad Go is expected to be launched in January 2024. While this might sound a bit confusing given the official teasers, it’s possible that OnePlus could make some changes to their plans.
Design and Features
As of now, there is no official information on what the OnePlus Pad Go will offer in terms of design and features. However, based on the teaser, it appears that the tablet will continue the design language of the OnePlus Pad and feature a distinctive circular rear camera module placed in the center. Additionally, a flat-edge and lightweight design can be expected.
As for the specifications, the OnePlus Pad Go is likely to be a toned-down version of the OnePlus Pad, featuring a mid-range chipset, possibly a smaller display, and a smaller battery. However, there is no concrete information on the device’s specifications at the moment. To give you a brief about the OnePlus Pad, it comes with an 11.6-inch 2.8K LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, a 9,510mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, and runs on Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1 and more.
More details about the OnePlus Pad Go and any other upcoming OnePlus devices are expected to be revealed soon. So stay tuned for further updates. Meanwhile, let us know in the comments below if you would be interested in an affordable OnePlus tablet!
