Lenovo has introduced the latest addition to its Tab series in India – the Tab P12. This mid-range tablet offers impressive features such as Android 13, JBL-backed speakers, and more, all at a price point under Rs 35,000. It succeeds the Tab 11, which had earlier received a 5G variant. Let’s delve into the details below.
Lenovo Tab P12: Specs and Features
The Lenovo Tab P12 sports a 12.7-inch LCD display. Although it only supports a 60Hz refresh rate, it does offer a high touch sampling rate of 240Hz. It is worth noting that other tablets like the Xiaomi Pad 6 and the OnePlus Pad support refresh rates of up to 144Hz.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset. It boasts 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is quite generous. Additionally, the storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a memory card. The Tab P12 is equipped with a 10,200mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging.

For photography enthusiasts, the Tab P12 features an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, as well as a 13MP ultra-wide selfie shooter with fixed focus and an RGB sensor. The tablet also boasts a quad-speaker setup backed by JBL and supports Dolby Atmos. It runs on Android 13, and Lenovo has confirmed that it will receive major updates for 2 years and security patches for 4 years.
Other noteworthy details include a USB Type-C port for charging, a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, support for a ThinkPad-inspired keyboard with a built-in trackpad, and more. Additionally, the tablet comes with the Tab Pen Plus, which allows users to utilize it as a drawing pad for Windows PCs using Lenovo Freestyle. The split-screen feature is also available for enhanced multitasking.
Price and Availability
The Lenovo Tab P12 is priced at Rs 34,999 and will be available for purchase on Flipkart and the Lenovo Store starting from September 5. It comes in two color options: Storm Grey and Oat.
