In the case of Starfield, an important title for Xbox and Bethesda, the pop rock band Imagine Dragons has joined forces to create the official Starfield song called “Children of the Sky” in collaboration with Bethesda.

The American pop-rock band started teasing their new song through a timer on their website two days ago, featuring the signature Starfield colors. After sparking mild fan speculation, they have finally dropped the new song on their YouTube channel. Furthermore, if you visit the official Imagine Dragons website, you will be greeted with a spaceship cockpit from Starfield, further solidifying their collaboration.

Collaboration Inspired by Bethesda’s Starfield

As mentioned in the official social media post by Imagine Dragons, “Children of the Sky” is inspired by Bethesda’s highly anticipated sci-fi RPG Starfield. The band members have been playing Bethesda Game Studios titles for most of their lives, which led them to collaborate on creating this mesmerizing song.

The official Bethesda Game Studios’ X account has also shared the complete song. Imagine Dragons’ Frontman Dan Reynolds spoke about the collaboration after its release. He describes the song as delving into the tough questions humans face while trying to find their place in the vast universe, mirroring the essence of the game. Reynolds expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Starfield on this powerful anthem.

Additionally, Starfield composer Inon Zur has also commented on the new song. As the composer of the Starfield theme and other iconic tunes like the Fallout theme, Zur played an instrumental role in the collaboration. He mentioned that the band created something emotional and unforgettable. Zur assisted the band by incorporating the Starfield motif and orchestral treatment, resulting in a magnificent collaboration between Starfield and Imagine Dragons.

The highly anticipated release of Starfield is just around the corner. The game is set to launch on September 6, 2023, for Xbox and PC players. However, those who own the Premium Edition and Constellation Edition can start playing from September 1, 2023.
